Position Purpose The Quality Inspector is directly responsible to the Chief Inspector for the performance of assigned quality control and quality assurance functions within the repair station.
The Quality Inspector is responsible for making physical quality control checks of in-process and completed aircraft maintenance or repairs, auditing and updating work orders and aircraft records, and updating aircraft compliance in the maintenance tracking system.
The Quality Inspector ensures that FAA regulations, air-carrier requirements, manufacturers' recommendations, contractual obligations, and company policies are adhered to by all teams, programs, and departments for which assigned.
Essential Functions:

Perform physical inspection of in-process and completed aircraft maintenance and repair work for airworthiness, compliance with FAA regulations, and conformity to manufacturers' documentation.
Perform aircraft records audits for compliance with manufacturers' inspection and service life schedules.
Create initial work order quotes and work orders using the Corridor canned squawk database from work scopes generated through the Corridor maintenance tracking system.
Audit in-process work order squawk resolutions for compliance with FAA regulations and established company policies.
Update the aircraft maintenance tracking system to reflect the status of all aircraft inspections, overhauls, service life limits, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, instructions for continued airworthiness, and air carrier requirements.
Audit and update aircraft configurations, global maintenance events, canned work order squawks, and canned Work-Pak checklists in the Corridor maintenance tracking and work order system.
Collaborate with and support the Airframe Services Program Manager and Engine Services Program Manager for the efficient return to service of aircraft and engines.

Clean & valid driver's license.
Willing obtain A&P if not already certified.
Proficient in MS Office with previous MRO software system experience.
Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and FAA regulated drug test prior to start.

Preferred Qualifications FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe & Powerplant ratings (A&P) strongly preferred.
Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions.
The work environment is often not temperature/humidity controlled.
The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Monday - Friday hours are approximately 7:
30am-4:
30pm with opportunity for overtime.
