The Medical Assistant works directly with doctors to assist in treating patients and ensuring that patients receive the best medical care possible.
A successful candidate will have experience in pain management, addiction medicine or physical and rehabilitation medicine and enjoy opportunities for growth, including an excellent benefits package.
Responsibilities:
Administer pain medication as prescribed by a physician.
Provide information to patients and physicians concerning medications, side effects, and diet.
Provide treatment and care for patients with drug or alcohol addictions or recovering from substance abuse.
Contact specialists to schedule appointments for the patient.
Order laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures on patients.
Follow doctors' orders carefully and follow all safety standards.
