TITLE:
Seasonal Queen Bee Packing Assistant ROLE Overview:
A unique blend of hands-on packaging and basic beekeeping tasks to support the healthy, safe shipping and maintenance of queen bees and package sales for Honey Bee Genetics/Tauzer Apiaries.
No beekeeping experience required, although exposure to honey bees for beekeeping is helpful.
Must not be afraid or allergic to honeybees.
This role will have key organizational tasks to support the overall packing logistics for HBG.
The goals and tasks each week will provide a solid outline to maintain productivity.
You will work closely with the Outreach and Education Manager to assist in any way necessary to ensure HBG logistics is running smoothly.

Support Honey Bee Genetics:
handling bees and queens in preparing for packing and shipping Maintaining queen banks Preparing materials for shipment Follow escalations through appropriate channels of communication in a timely manner Support safety goals and procedures Self-starter who can work independently with little supervision Attention to detail and with the ability to follow detailed instructions without support Interact professionally with all employees to support a positive company culture Accepts various administrative tasks Accepts light duty physical farm work SPECIAL SKILLS:
Must be computer literate and proficient in English required; bilingual English-Spanish considered an asset Ability to communicate effectively in-person or by phone in a manner that can be clearly understood by customers and colleagues, including a diverse population of individuals.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be required.

Ability to operate office equipment, including e.

copiers, packaging supply.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, with frequent walking and carrying loads.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach with hands and arms, and to lift 65 lbs.
Hearing and close vision abilities required.
Work is performed in an office and farm environment with moderate equipment noise.
SALARY SPECIFICATIONS & BENEFITS Seasonal Part Time:
25-30 hrs a week 8 AM-2 PM with potential option for full time $17.
